A professional at your home, at your location
We come to you for the blood draw. It is a venous draw from the arm, the same as at a collection point, but at your own kitchen or dining table. You do not prick yourself and you do not travel. Enough blood in one go for every test you chose.
You lance your own finger, sometimes several times, and have to squeeze enough drops into a tube. If that does not quite work, too little material arrives or the sample is damaged. The number of markers that can be run this way is limited as well.
Reliably drawn, but you have to get there. Fasting, early, often with a wait, at times the lab decides. Hormones that need drawing before 10:00 fall in exactly the busiest window.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to fast?
For glucose, insulin and triglycerides, fast for at least 8–10 hours. We discuss this when scheduling.
How quickly do I get results?
Standard markers: 1–5 working days. Special markers (Omega-3, Cystatin C, hormones) up to 14 working days.
Do you come outside Amsterdam?
Yes, all of the Netherlands. Within the A10 ring the draw at your home is included in the fixed price. Outside it the price is on request: WhatsApp your postcode and what you want tested, and you hear straight away what it costs.
Is there a discount if there are two of us?
Yes. If two of you have blood drawn at the same address, the second person gets € 40 off. Repeating within 3 months? Ask about the discount on your follow-up test.
Can I speak to a doctor about my results?
Yes, a medical consultation is optionally available on request - not included by default.
Is this covered by health insurance?
No, private service. Some employer budgets or collective insurance may partially cover this.
What if my values are abnormal?
Mario Test does not make medical diagnoses. For abnormalities, we recommend consulting your GP. Medical consultation available on request.
